The next chapter for WRRYFree Skin Care
In the last year, I have attended more than 30 events for WRRYFree Skin Care. In that time, I was able to experience everything there is — both positive and negative — about owning a small business. I was very lucky to have had these experiences and be able to share them with family, friends, customers and those who helped me at events, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.
However, it's time to move on!
It wasn't an easy decision to move on from WRRYFree Skin Care. For the first time in my life, I was doing exactly what I wanted — I was able to share with the world amazing products my aunt created. I listened to long time customers and new customers share how much they loved and enjoyed the products.
But starting your own company isn't everything it's cracked up to be. Between bookkeeping, accounting and sales tax, I started to do less of what I loved and more of what I didn't.
While I was living the dream and feeling energized by the amount of work I was doing, I still thought I was missing the point of why I started WRRYFree Skin Care — to share the love of the products I grew up with over the last 10-plus years of watching my aunt grow her own business.
Luckily, at this point, I found my niche in this incredible world. My aunt — owner of SKINourishment, Inc., and creator of climbOn! — came to me with an offer that I thought about extensively.
She wanted me on her team. She wanted me to keep doing events I previously was doing but under the SKINourishment name. She cautioned I would have to do some traveling and give up the name WRRYFree Skin Care. To make the deal even sweeter, SKINourishment would purchase WRRYFree Skin Care, leaving me with little to worry about.
This was one of the hardest decisions I've faced in life. I considered how this would affect my customers, my life and the brand name I worked very hard to build. I accepted her offer, and just like that, it was time to start my new job as the Chief Digital Officer of SKINourishment, Inc.
I want to thank you, my customers, for joining me on this incredible journey, and I hope to see you at an event soon or hear from you. I also want to thank my friends and family for the incredible support they provided. I wouldn't be where I am today without you.
